Now open Task manager and ensure hotkeys is enabled as a startup app finally Only let ASus optimization and armoury crate service tasks remain. ![]() Delete all asus tasks especially the updater tasks. Now go to your registry editor and delete registry keys for all the disabled services Go to your the services app on your PC and disable all Asus services except Armoury Crate Service and Asus Optimization Once you have installed this, get to installing Armoury Crate now ![]() This is readily available in the search and will get keyboard shortcuts working Now install 'Asus Hot Keys' from Microsoft Store. Then run the trouble shooter to see if AC service is working correctly, if it encounters errors, let it fix the issue What you need - AC UMP link, AC service, AC service troubleshooter from the driver home page and that's it! Stay away from - Aura crate, aura service, aura whatever, asus system interface, my asus app and more. My guess is that they aren allowed to publish the app with the amount of analytics or telemetry included in the app, which is why Microsoft keeps finicking their permissions page as well as privacy disclaimers I got back in the game to change by basic static color for they keyboard and now AC is on Microsoft store again but as a beta.and that has been the case for the past few months So I preserved my copy of 307 until my external drive crashed X( The early 307 had unlocked voltage controls I had 307 on my local storage from early 2019, and it was around 14MB There have only been 2 bios for my system 307 and 309 I do a system restore and remove AC and aura sync altogetherīut OC is still fucked, so I revert to bios 307 Then comes a Vbios hotfix that additionally limits power draw to VRAM preventing overclocking further This is around the same time the software got shitty, did not play well with Afterburner and took away manual overclocking all together, all that was left was the fan speed slider net package on their driver support page for AC Then for some reason it disappeared from the store with the latest update mid 2020 and Asus started giving. Last year AC (Armoury Crate) was available on the store as a stand alone and would appear in the search, it was fairly well optimized I'm well aware of Asus's shady practices (the below experience is for an M15 gu502gu) These links will take you to the app allowing you to install them but they won't show up in general Microsoft search You should find direct links to them on your laptop's support page for drivers You mean to mother fucking tell me, that you're going to "apologize" by giving me a coupon to spend more money with you? Are you fucked?Ī UMP is a term i've seen Asus using for their apps available in the Microsoft store I was issued a replacement, and as "compensation for my trouble" (I work from home, my headset is literally vital to me communicating with clients / coworkers) I was issued a 15% coupon. 3 months after I received the replacement, Corsair pushed out an update that bricked the headset. The straw that broke the camels back: Virtuoso Wireless. Void Wireless: Randomly lost connection, and the mic broke off after 13 months. Sabre Mouse: It's fine, but the feet wore out really quickly using the hard mousepad Corsair makes (the previously mentioned Polaris) and I couldn't find replacement feet for it anywhere, including from Corsair. Polaris RGB Mousepad: Again, it would randomly not be recognized, albeit this time on boot, I would have to manually unplug it and plug it back in for it to work. I would have to reboot the PC anywhere between 5 - 20 times in order to get the keyboard recognized again. One.Ĭorsair K70: It would randomly lose connection to the PC, and nothing I could do would make it work correctly. ![]() ![]() I can't believe it took me this long to realize how utterly SHIT their products are. Corsair literally lost me as a customer after this last incident.
